Hey guys, had a bit of a disaster tryin to find balaclavas, the stall by broadmarsh were out of stock, the army surplus store by notts county fc were out of stock and wouldn't be getting any in for a while due to weather conditions. I did however track some down in viccy centre market at £5 each. i spoke to Dan and made the decision to buy them. I haggled them down to £4.50 cos they'd only jst dropped the price from £6. Wud it be possible to bring another £2 for me on monday, i understand its more money than we planned but i had to make a decision and it was either these or wearin tights on our heads?!?
Also i manged to get black plimsole/canvas shoes which have WHITE rubber soles and trim from primark for £5, Dan agree's they will be suitable for the dance floor so i'm assuming this means we may be sticking to the original plan of black footwear. i'll bring them in monday for people to look and if we're happy with them we could send one of the tecchies or shika into town with money and shoe sizes whilst we rehearse (people still have option of borrowing jazz shoes off dance students)
I understand this all means investing a lot of money from our own personal funds for the show but on the other hand we've been given a pathetic budget for the show which unfortunately isn't covering costs for costume. Moaning about this hasn't got anywhere so I'm prepared to invest my own money into making this show look professional at the cost of a small chip in my loan thats come through - I hope you all feel the same :)
